I've been training with one of their trainers, Rob Touhey, and he's fantastic. I've lost close to 20 pounds with his help. Even more important, he's helped me discover my inner athlete! He's very personable and you can tell he enjoys his job and wants to help you reach your goals.
I love Golds Gym in MH! Always greeted when walking in everyone is friendly and helpful. Great equipment, the personal trainers are very knowledgeable and care about their clients. Free group training and even has a outdoor training area with tire and crossfit type work so they def keep up with the latest style of training to appeal to all members goals. Many options for protein snacks and shakes! I come from a small town family owned gym so i'm truly a kid in a candy store.
Gold's of Morehead earns it's 5 Stars from me! A commitment to a Fitness Center is a big decision and after my due diligence of visiting Planet Fitness in Havelock ( closest to me ) I found it too generic and dead , in other words, no good vibes. Then I checked out Anytime Fitness also in Morehead, before my last stop at Golds Gym. Gold's made first place in my book due to the fact that staff was on duty longer, I loved the Juice Bar and the Classes offered. The place was clean, and the Staff super friendly. Hand's down though, it was the Children's Center! Kids were having a blast So even though I drive a little while longer, so worth it to me.
This is a great gym, lots of equipment, clean and the staff always greets you with a big hello. The atmosphere can seen intimidating but everyone I've encountered is friendly and welcoming. The classes are great, very energetic and engaging. The instructors are knowledgeable and truly want you to get your best workout possible.
