I recently took in a Naot leather sandal which needed to have part of the leather upper reattached to the rubber/plastic sole. Not a hard job. I was initially amused by the two women who helped me, who were friendly and helpful. They also returned my shoe to me earlier than promised, which I was happy about. However, when I picked up the sandal, I discovered that they had 1) stitched the upper to the sole in the wrong place, 2) run stitches all across the sandal in a way that looked like a child had done it, 3) stitched the removable insert (cushion) into the sole for no apparent reason. When I asked why, I was told that they "wished I had told them I didn't want them to sew the insert into the sole". What is the point of a removable insert if you can't remove it? In the end, I paid for my sandal and cut out all the stitching they did.
After attempting to have my 10+ year old Dr Martens repaired at four other places only to hear that they were non-repairable, this place took my shoes and basically rebuilt them like new. It's hard to find anyone with the skill to do this in the era of disposable everything. I'm happy with my results my price was lower than I thought it would have been for the work involved. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to have shoes repaired or rebuilt and will definitely be back.
I dropped off some leather shoes to be cleaned. They weren't dirty, they just smelled like mildew. They were there for about a month. I never got a call from them, so I just went to the store directly. When I got there, the workers were yelling at each other in the back room. I guess they just forgot to call. They told me my shoes were done. I smelled them before paying and they smelled exactly the same. I threw the shoes away right there in the store. After smelling my shoes and seeing me throw them in her trash can, the owner still charged me for their "services". It just seemed like an unprofessional environment.
I went in yesterday around 3:00 pm and asked if they could fix my daughters boots before she left on a trip TODAY. Not only were they done before closing yesterday, but they look like new! I am super pleased with the quality of work done here. And, I love the fact that it is family owned and they were so sweet and kind to me. Not only will I return for any repairs I need, but I will also stop in to check out the shoes/boots they have for sale! I was also incredibly pleased with the low price.
In short, although amusing at first, this repair was a total waste of money and time. I can't possibly recommend this shop for shoe repair.
