I frequent this hotel with my son... It makes for a great getaway for some R and R. The Owner, Desk Clerks and Housekeepers are friendly, professional and trustworthy. The Continental Breakfast is always fresh and more than sufficient. The background conversations of the employees interacting with each other are always respectful and positive. I highly recommend Econo Lodge, Morehead City, NC.
This place SUCKS!!! I just recently stayed there for 2 days and 2 nights. Not once did housekeeping come to clean my room. As I was taking my shower, the water did not drain. It continued to rise in the tub. I had to turn off the water, let the tub drain then finish my shower. After all of that, I checked my account and they are trying to charge me an extra $230 for "damages". I am disputing this matter as we speak!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE!!!
Booked a king room when we checked in they gave us a room with 2 full beds.. finally found us a king right beside ice machine.. where our room was we heard every noise that was made hardly any sleep the weekend we was there... I thought choice hotels was suppose to be nice but this was not what we thought was suppose to be. Will never stay here again would rather sleep in my car than Econo Lodge Crystal Coast. I agree with other reviews this place SUCKS!!!
Great hotel to stay in while visiting Morehead city. If you love fishing, their space to park your boat. Great rooms, clean, breakfast is great and everybody that works here are great.
My wife and I reserved a room for 2 days on weekend. When we arrived they said" Oh we thought you wanted smoking" And then couldn't provide. We accepted. I asked $ 40 for our 3lb. dog for 2 days right? They said "This room doesn't allow Pets" I reminded them your web site says pet friendly. He said "Well not for that room". Oh the room we didn't reserve in the first place? Can't you give us a non smoking, pet friendly room like the one we reserved? No. Then he became rude and refunded our money. We had to sleep in our truck because nothing else in town was available. I'm thinking a foreign owned hotel that doesn't like dogs. P.S. I noticed the couple of good reviews we done by the cleanup crew when a place of business gets a ton of bad reviews. Yes there are people making a living doing this. SMH.
