The white chicken chili was filled with chicken, peppers, and creamy white broth. It is more soup like but with a hearty chili feel.
The new location is a vast improvement in decor, and presentation. It is a nice addition to the local foods and desserts. Food is prepared when ordered with the exception of desserts. They are prepared daily and upon request for special ordered and occasions. Additionally, Their new location now provides breakfast and lunch combo that can include a desert for an extra price.
A friend from Morehead City told me to try Hales Bakery for breakfast. Based solely on my friend's recommendation, we made plans to stop there for breakfast on our way out of town. When we walked in, I was immediately impressed with the warm, inviting dining area. The breakfast menu turned out to be so much more than I expected. My family enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast including french toast, eggs, bacon, cinnamon rolls, and hot coffee. The service was fast and courteous. The Hales Bakery website does not show the wonderful breakfast menu or dining area, but trust me, you won't be disappointed if you give it a try. With one visit, Hales Bakery made it to our list of favorite places to eat in the Morehead City area.
They are amazing. ...from the chef to the staff and their Chicken Pastry makes me wanna cry. Then the sweets are the proverbial icing on the cake.
